Just the beginning

OK, so this is the beginning of the middle moving forward to the end...made perfect sense to me:) I have been at this photo thing for a long time, not really excelling to the level that I want to be at...probably because I spent my life chasing dogs and moving at warp speed 24 hours a day in the back of an ambulance. I believe that talent makes you who you are..it isn't the camera that makes the photo, it is the talent in the eye of the person using the camera. The camera is merly an extension of your heart from which you can see beauty and capture it in a piece of glass and print it on a piece of smoothened wood..paper. Last week I had the absolute pleasure of meeting Sam (Sandy) Puc, master of child and maternity photography. Nobody I have met yet could even hold a candle to this lady. She is witty, spunky and has been a true photographer since she was 17 years old. She believes in paying your knowledge forward to those that are just learning and not keeping all of your skills to yourself. I think that that is a problem these days. Everyone wants something for nothing and don't want to help their fellow neighbors out of fear of competition. The only competition one should have should be with ones self. You should compete each day with yourself to better your relationships with a stranger, who may dream that they could be as good as you are behind a camera. No matter where you go, or when you go there, there will always be someone who knows more than you....my goal, compete with myself to get to know my camera better, turn out good photos from the camera with real settings, not just post processing and to learn half of what Sam Puc has forgotten....with that, Welcome to my blog and the beginning of what I hope to be a self discovery of talent.
